I've worked with leaf designs for a long time. I have a drawer full of polymer clay molds I've made over the years. Quite a while ago, I counted 215 molds... This ensemble is made from these leaf molds in a technique I call "faux leaf fossils". They've been published several times. I'm teaching this style at B&B Show 09. leaf collar, set and pen, 2004. |

I once bought a delicate
miniature rose house plant because I wanted to mold the leaves. The
plant must have felt used and unloved. It died within 2 weeks.
I'm better with green things when they are outside!! "Faux enamel" technique pins from 2003 |

This is the same leaf mold. This piece was a finalist in the Bead Dreams competition several years ago. I think this was 2003 or so, also. | |

All those leaf molds came
in handy when, in 2005, I began to incorporate metal clay into my work.
